How's the walk from the west side?

I'm considering skiing Magic on Sat, but am concerned about the walk from the west side as described on the website. How long of a walk is it from Lower Wizard if you skied Sorcerer or Talisman?

I love Magic, but a long trek in mud after a run doesn't appeal to me when I have other great choices.

You could ski it all today, with a little grass mixed in, but will likely be thin tomorrow. The rest of the hill is holding up pretty well. I'd be there again tomorrow if I could. Pretty outstanding up there today.

Pictures and some video a little later.

Great meeting up with some other AZers up there today. We will be back next season!!

Another place that I briefly considered for today... Will get up there eventually! Sounds like the skiing was pretty good, though, despite the warning of having to walk!

The skiing was outstanding and great coverage for this time of year. I mean if you're not one to hop over or ski through a couple grasses spots, then you'd be walking a little bit more, but all-in-all some great skiing still left for tomorrow.

Sounds better than they described over the phone. I'd ski through whatever it takes as long as I don't have to walk. That's what Rock skis are for, right? I'll have to reconsider and make the call on my drive up.

It was a pleasure to meet you and your crew on Friday. You guys fit in perfectly at Magic.

What more can you say?? High 70s temps, nice soft snow in good supply on most of the advanced terrain along with brews burgers and friends?? I'll take it anytime;-)
