Driving home pretty late tonight after shooting a graduation, I'm on back roads (in the Northern Poconos), just coming down into a low spot between two small ponds, I hit what was an absolute record for lightning bugs. My Wrangler windshield is more vertical than most vehicles, so a June Bug can sound like a baseball...and the bug gore really spreads out. This must have been some sort of breeding orgy, since I nailed a couple dozen fireflies in one spot.

So I have this glowing, basketball size circle directly in my line of vision. But the best part was when I hit the wipers and made a huge blue/green luminescent rainbow.

Anyway, shitty for the fireflies, I suppose, but pretty cool.
