I would like add to my western states ski experience and ski in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. We though about skiing at Sun Valley or Big Sky this February, but compared to Summit County they where both much more expensive and harder to get to.

I have always wanted to ski down south and I visited Ski Beech and Wolf Laurel N.C during fall foliage many years ago, but there really is no reason to travel so far for limited skiing, other than if you had family or business to make it worthwhile.

My wife's brother just moved to the Atlanta area, not too far away from Sky Valley, but they just shut down their winter skiing operations for good 1-2 years ago, so that chance is now gone. Of course there is always the steep and deep slopes of Cloudmont Alabama with a whopping 150' of vertical.
