Ugh. I'm fairly qualified for this one... I wonder if my husband would move?

I sent the link to Tyrolean_Skier - I'm "the husband"

I think it would be cool to work at a ski area

Man, if only I wasnt graduating next spring, Id be all over this. Not that Id really peak their interest, with only a college degree, and some freelance work in web design.

Heck .... it's an assistant's job. They would prefer to take someone they could "mold" rather than someone who is overqualified and quick to leave over salary or title.

A ski marketing position is good for the young crowd or 1st time marketing group.. If I was in my early 20's.... I would be game again. I prefer seperating my skiing from my work these days. Beat to death in other threads.. Great deal for the right person. Very cool they brought Az into the mix. Tb writing skills are a key..... Sounds like a great job for Super boss. (our own super hero.)

TY would be great for that. Her computer skills would be a great asset. Her passion would be hard to pass on.

the words 'can be' stick out to me when reading that write up. if anyone is interested, i would contact the hiring manager and verify what exactly that means. chris, rocket21, and katbennett over on nelsap forums work in this type of position and may be good folks to contact if you are seriously interested in this position. my impression of jobs in the ski industry is that any one who is serious about maxing their ski days and powder days (especially at bigger mountains) should probably avoid full time employment in the business. 6-7 day work weeks are not unheard of. you do get to make some turns during the day, but business is always part of the pleasure. i would never want to work in a field that is directly related to an activity i love so much. that is just me though. probably a great opportunity for someone really passionate about skiing but not a die hard that has to make it to the big hills and max powder days.
