Lets hope the folks that manage the money are better than the marketing department.

Anyone know what and who they are trying to sell to?

How do you know that they don't have skis on and are carrying the snowboards up for their buddies up at the stone hut?

I was skiing at Hunter on Tuesday. I don't remember seeing any snowboarders riding the Hunter chair lifts like these two.

I think he's making the point that they are riding up the lift with their snowboards in their hands. I didn't see it as a dig at snowboarders.

What am I missing? I thought the idea was just that the person who created the ad was a dope because the snowboarders are carrying their boards instead of having them on their feet. No?

OK, re-reading the first posts. He's taking a dig at old snowboarders and didn't even catch the snowboards in hand bit. DMC you may continue.

Isn't Jake Burton pushing 50?

He's implying that snowboarders can't be successful enough to need financial planning...
And that since he was a Hunter(another dig btw) on Tuesday and didn't see anyone dressed like these two that he's correct...

YES thank you - the same would be true if they were carrying skis.

DMC I got friends on boards, skis, Tele Skis, blades, whatever that slides down hill. I got friends that even snowshoe. This was not meant to be a dig on snowboarders. This thread was meant to have some fun with the marketeers that designed this ridiculous advertisement. Obviously they know nothing about snow sports and riding chair lifts.

It's pretty clear to me they're trying to sell to those who are dumb.

Any boarder who carry their board on the shoulder to ride the lift... yes, that's as dumb as it gets.

I personally know a lot of boarders a whole lot smarter than that. And no, they don't leave their moeny at TD whatever! (well, at least not their marketing department! ;) )
