Memo from the Desk of Mother Nature:

Sept. 14, 2006

Re: Predicting the upcoming winter weather

Listen up mortals! No one, not the Farmers Almanac, the Old Farmers Almanac, CNN, the Weather Channel, that idiot Jim Roemer, AcuWeather...whatever, cannot reliably predict the weather more than 2/3 days in advance let alone months in advance. If they get a long range weather forcast right it is pure luck, nothing more, nothing less.

I control the weather and I can change my mind as to what the weather will be at anytime.

You cannot predict the winter weather no more than you can predict the color of Marc's underwear he will be wearing 2 months from now.

For many years I have been trying to understand why you mortals continue to waste your time on this excercise in futility.

We in the MRV will indeed do just that on Peak Day, October 10, using a rope, a sap bucket, a tree, JJ Toland and Eric Friedman and a complex formula. Show up at the General Wait House on 10/10 at 10:10am.

...and I, of course, assumed the color of Marc's underoos in 2 months will be the same as today's.

Ha! That's where you're wrong. Marc's underwear is always brown. If not when it goes on, then certainly when (or if) it comes off.
