Decided to give mohawk a try today since Woodcore posted the pic of bumps on wildwood
Got to mohawk around 1 to take advantage of the $20 dollar afternoon ticket. Sun was fading in and out, but for the most part the moguls were pretty soft..Not slushy, but not firm at all. Did 13 runs down wildwood before the legs gave out

Wildwood headwall had a bunch of bumps linked together...The flat section before it gets steep had some bumps but needed some traffic...They should have cat seeded from the bottom of the headwall to the steep part. The main part was really awesome !! There was 2 or 3 zipperlines right down the middle ..Not what I expected at mohawk!! It was an awesome spring day today!! Might go for a second helping tomorrow ...same time

I'm really starting to believe that finally some of these smaller or "feeder" hills are starting to get it. The bump skiing this year in the Pocono's has been fantastic. What better way to make the mountain ski bigger then add a good bump field? Enjoyed a morning of bumps this morning at my homestead.

Nice!! Glad you had a great day at the Hawk Steve. Might want to wait until at least Wednesday as those bumps will be frozen like a rock tomorrow.

Nice! Definitely gotta get in on that at some point. Perhaps a back to back Sundown/Mohawk mogul fest this week?

It probably has something to do with the anomaly of a winter we're having. I don't think Mohawk has or will ever put the effort into seeding bumps like Sundown does. It's a good snow year here, which allows for a better chance for good natty bumps at a place like Mohawk.

But I do think there's been a shift lately in terms of an awareness by the smaller ski areas that some people still do like bumps.

I think it may be dependent on how the are received by the Mohawk skiing public. I find the bumps at the local areas here are being very well used. With the economic conditions these days I think its in their best interests to cater all types of skiers and boarders. These "hills" are actually quite fun with a good challanging bump run on them.
