Monday: can't decide...Loaf, Jay, Stowe, Bush..

Opinions for tommorrow? Temps below fz at night, to the low 40s by mid afternoon. no precip forecast

Sugarloaf - will the conditions be worth an extra hour driving?? Don't hear much about their woods. It is an adventure though
Jay - conventional wisdom says woods is goodz
Stowe/Bush - the familiar...

there is more than enough snow in the woods at the loaf , believe me, .
but what matters is if the snow softens enough to ski on and if it's icy.

you were just up there. I was hoping above maybe 2500 ft it stayed cold and dry since last week. What di d yyou find? Thanks.

the woods were basically frozen all week, but on friday in the afternnon the lower glades softened up.. even the glades off lower tote road hadamazing covergae.
Cant dog glades were closed all week.
i think it depends on the weather. it might be hard for the glades up top to turn good, but maybe the snow today (1 inch)helped.

I'm looking at the same for this week. Considerations

Sugarbush - 2 lifts 10AM - 5PM

Killington - Gondola and Superstar lifts only

Stowe - Gondola is closed just HSQ

Jay - All trails. but if it doesn't soften its a waste

Sugarloaf - 4 hour drive

Wildcat - No trees

I'm leaning towards my spring Wildcat fix

At the cat, I found nice woods and brook off to skier's R back in Feb. Go too deep, well, you come down the ravine...
I still can't decide what to do. Wish I could have been out Wed-thurs last week. Decide in the AM. Hitting the sack, long day ahead.

maybe I should just stick to lower els.
I was hoping the higher els would have stayed dry snow. Sounds like not...

Just to let you know that Jay was semi-soft yesteday... COnditions were great and the more sun-exposed trails... Other then that was pretty hard snow... but with the dusting to an inch of snow received sunday, it was still soft under it and turnable.

Good conditions and lots of snow on the mountain for mid-april!
