Ski Resort: Mount Snow

Conditions: Frozen Granular, Man Made, Windy

Report: Made it back to Mount Snow today, and it was well worth the effort! After the nasty weather last week, they were able to blow snow on a lot of the routes from the top. Started parking in the Sundance Lot, and rode up the sundance lift to make my way over to the blue bird. Ended up skiing Lodge, Canyon/Cascade, Exhibition, Standard, South Bowl, Snowdance, Ego Alley, Ridge and Long John/Deer Run on the main mountain. Took one run each of Thanks Walt and Freefall. All in all a great day out on the mountain, with the snow forecasted tomorrow it can only get better.

Some photos of course:

That looks pretty nice! I have one free weekday Mount Snow voucher this year and I intend on making the most of it on a powder dump day.

Mount Ops has done a GREAT job since the Friday morning freeze back up!!

Friday, per my wife and kids was pretty ugly. Saturday, when I logged 14 laps on the mainface, it was soft and creamy where they were blowing snow, nice groomed packed powder where they made snow the day before and groomed it out, and some "chatter-roy" where it was just grooming since the freeze up but no snowmaking!

My wife said that Sunday, when you also skied there that it was really quite good and night and day better than Friday (I was at Magic that day), and after racing this morning over at Willard Mtn in Eastern NY, my daughter went back to Mount Snow and got an hour in from 3 to 4PM and said it was even better than yesterday!

I'll be curious to hear my wife and kids opinion of how it is tomorrow!!

Lots of snowmaking going on the last few days, and they've got the firepower to recover well! And that's before they pumping capacity will double for next year and their water storage increase 10 times!! Can't wait for that!! :fangun:
