Got over to the mountain late morning. Easily found parking near Mt Ops; not too many people.
Wind was blowing pretty good and it was lightly snowing. They picked up about 2" overnight. First run of the day...Ripcord. It had just opened today and I knew it would be better for my wife since it wasn't bumped up. She did great! It was her first time skiing the trail, so it was a cool experience. The trail skied well. It was smooth and cream cheese-esque.
We basically did the usual "rounds". Headed Sunbrook, then to Carinthia, I did some jumps, we then did a bunch of runs down Cascade, Snowdance and Canyon. And of course,...some bumps on Rollercoaster. The lower section of Rollercoaster had the best bumps. They were a bit tighter than the top and you could get a good rythym going.
Overall, a solid day. I'm really proud of my wife.
Some pics of her and a huge smile just before the steep of Ripcord.
