We arrived early today...I think we were on the chair by 8:10. Oh, our first chair...the Golden Chair on the Grand Summit. Sweet. (On a side note, we got the gold chair 2 times on Friday)

We did a number of runs on the main face. It skied awesome because it was mostly cord. No lift line to speak of until about 9AM. We did a few runs on the North Face. It was a little scratchy, but fast. Surprisingly, it was a little chilly on the lift over there. We did a few runs on Sunbrook. The wind wasn't too bad over there until the end of the lift ride. The Dippers skied well. Found some nice powder bumps on the skiers left of that trail that dumps you out by the quad.

We ended up calling it a day early because we hammered out so many runs early in the day.

I'm interested to see how their V-Day 2 for $49 lift ticket promo goes tomorrow.

We did our first run on Big Dipper and ended up just lapping it all morning. It was such a great cruiser. I didn't see you guys. Maybe Mitzy go a new jacket and I didn't recognize her?

We didn't get out until 9:30 but were pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds comparative to Saturday/other weekends. We skied all the standard main face cruising trails and Plummet and Fallen Timbers before meeting up with our friends (a seasoned skier who has taken 3 years off and his fiancee, 3rd day on skis). She let him do a quick lap of Olympic while she went to the bathroom and then I split from the other group to ski with the n00b for a bit. She was really a natural, linking turns from top to bottom on Little John-->Ridge and then over to Canyon for a Snowdance run and then River Run so she could take a look at Ripcord, then Long John to Sweet Sixteen back home to Carinthia. Only 3 slow motion falls the whole time, no binding releases, in some loose snow and crowded conditions (Long John). Even started incorporating some parallel without much coaching. A good day overall, though a little colder/windier than we expected.

We skied from 10:30-3:30. Plummet was scratchy. Fallen Timbers much less so, nice and fast! The woods on skiers left of Thanks Walt were great, lots of powder still in there. Woods off Ego were also skiing great, although they were totally different than the Sunbrook trees. The Ego trees (still want to call them Sap-Tapper) were packed powder moguls, no powder, but no ice either like there is on the backs of the moguls out on the open trails. Other highlights were Southbowl and far skiers left of Hop where lots of snow had drifted up and there was a nice 10 foot wide strip of powder bumps all the way down. Overbrook and One More Time were in great shape as well. Definitely agree with JWBIGRED that the crowds were sparse today. Maybe lots of folks were waiting until the s..tshow that will happen with the crowds next weekend. Next Sunday I will definitely be somewhere other than waiting in a liftline at a major ski resort.

A good day overall, though a little colder/windier than we expected.

Worked at the condo on Saturday while the family skied - all agreed mountain was skiing nice - Gulch jumps were "awesome" - guessing it was groomed nice for the competition to be held Sunday. I was waiting for the warmer day on Sunday with temps forecasted in the low 30's. Was really surprised on how chilly it was Sunday! At the mountain for 9. First lift ride on Canyon chair had me thinking of heading back to the condo...lol! River Run nice powder. Fallen Timbers fast (and cold). But then we hit some bumps on Challenger (winddrifted piles on skier's left were fun) and I warmed up. Thin cover at the top, but soft bumps once you got past the first 20 feet or so.

Agree with Plummet scratchy. Jaws had large bumps - mix of firm and soft spots, some thin spots at the top, Loved the woods off Ego once again - actually feel like I can "tree ski" in there with the low angle and wider spaced trees, not as afraid to get some speed up. Pat's Peak, short but sweet. Inferno had nice packed powder with some fluff from the overnight snow down the sides. Enjoyed watching my kids hit the jumps. Hit the Sundance triple to work back over to Sap Tapper for one last run. Called it a day at 2 to get couple more hours of work in before the family finished with last chair.

Mountain is skiing nice right now!

I found some decent windblown stuff on the side of Plummet Sunday morning. Totally surprised me!
