Date(s) Skied:
2/8/2009
Resort or Ski Area:
Mount Snow
Conditions:
Hard pack, soft pack, and some in between
Trip Report:
I know this TR late...but better late than never. :smash:
It actually started to r__n a bit as we got into town in the AM. Boooooo! But, once we hit the parkinglot, it had changed to a frozen p-type. Skiing on the lower part of the mountain was really good! The snow was fairly soft, but still pretty quick. It was a different story from mid mountain up. The warm weather on Friday and Saturday had softened everything up...but the temps never really got above freezing Saturday night....then you ad the wind. The North Face was shut due to the wind.
All the trails skied well considering. You know it was hard pack when you still corduroy over on "Thanks Walt" around 2PM. But lift lines remained pretty short and the weather wasn't that bad. The temps cooled off a bit in the afternoon, but that made things more comfortable. All in all, a good day out.
Thanks Walt in the AM.
