Cliffs: if you plan on heading up Sunday, you'lll be fine.

Snowmaking trails are in good shape. Things softened up pretty quickly today; mostly mashed potatoes and corn. The North Face opened around noonish and the first few runs down were fairly fast. Beartrap had some good bumps; deep troughs and good spacing. I'm thinking it'll open tomorrow...but that will probably be it for the season. Overall, it was a typical spring day with the snow getting heavy, but perfect air temp tomorrow looks like it may be a bit warmer.

I'lll be out again tomrrow. Look for the guy wearing a PBR shirt...with a "Gordon" name patch. Or just yell. "hey Homer!".

PS: the entire Homer Crew had a few beers together at The Station.....good times.

Thanks for the TR. We had a good time at K today, and with your positive report, we'll be there around 9 tomorrow.

With he high temps I'll be rocking cargo shorts and and an orange long sleeve tee. I'm also 6'6, so I should be easy to spot.

Marc, i think they'll make it. But it may be on some limited terrain. Jeff had some good insight on it today. I'll let him chime in. I've got my fingers crossed...I'd really like to get another weekend in.

Bheemsoth....i'll keep an eye out for you. Sounds like you'll be easy to spot.

Next weekend they'll be open. NOT going to lie, they're going to loose a bunch of trails this week :( Tomorrow is the last day of the year (reguardless of snow)and for Sunbrook. There are main face snowmaking trails such as Exhibition to Lodge that likely only have another 2 to 3 days left at these temps. Most of whats open now on the Northface, with the exception of Fallen Timbers will be good during this weeks heat. Didn't ski over at Carinthia today, but with how much snow is over there for the parks, there's still plenty to push around. On the bright side, I did hear from a VERY reliable source that they're seriously contemplating ordering more kegs for the station taproom for next weekend, and thats a GREAT sign! ;)

The "fat lady" will sing for some trails at Mount Snow this coming week, but the season has atleast next weekend in it, probably 2 weekends and unless a big cool down happens, at this moment in time I would give Easter weekend and the Gladiator and Winter Brewers Fest a very slim chance of being open :(

wow some of you guys are optimists :) next wknd? doubt it, then again, you guys prolly know your homebase better.
I canned my plans for heading up to jay and went to snow on saturday instead to save 7 hours of driving. Had fun riding in t shirt. Wrapped up my season. There were puddles being formed everywhere. Carinthia and northface had the best coverage. All other trails were losing very fast. I can see carinthia making it to next wknd if lucky. May be I'm a pessimist.

They will be open another two weekends. There is always at least one week where they close Monday-Friday and open the following weekend, and they're open this week. Not sure I would plan on skiing there Monday though (which I kind of wanted to do).

The wildcard for midweek next week to use an old addage from the revolutionary war era is "The British are coming! The British are coming!"

Also the following weekend (the 31st/1st) Mount Snow is scheduled to host the finals of The Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge, and the realiatic talk of mowing down one of the parks at Carinthia and converting it back to a featureless ski trail was starting to circulate amongat many reliable sources the last few days.
