From this AM's snowreport:

"All good things must come to an end, however. Next week’s operating schedule will include Monday, April 21; Friday, April 25; Saturday, April 26; and Sunday, April 27, and then the lifts will stop spinning at Mount Snow for the season. We were the first ski area to open in Vermont, and we’ll be last to close in central/southern Vermont. How is that possible that the southernmost ski area in Vermont has the longest season? Fan guns, my friends. So stay tuned for news on this summer’s snowmaking improvement plan, and get ready to rock in early November. Thanks to everyone for a fabulous first year under the leadership of Peak Resorts."

This will get me past 50 days on the year! Great season and a wonderful debut season by Peak Resorts at Mount Snow!

It looks like this will be my last weekend. I have to be in NYC on the 26th. Thank you Mt Snow for a great season.

But maybe not the most continuously open!

referring to wind holds? (for me, perhaps the most serious issue I'd like to see worked on, and this is not an easy one for Mt Snow given the current lift configuration and lack of protection) Or that they're not open mid-week next week? - which I find perfectly understandable as I'm sure they've been losing money every mid-week day for the last couple+ weeks.

Regardless, that Mt Snow will be open later than the (mountain formerly known as the mighty) K is a big deal.

Yes. Mt. Snow is a hugely improved this year under the new ownership and deserve cudos! If I had limited time I would ski at Mt. Snow. If I had the time for an extra 1.5 hours I would definitely go to the Mad River Valley and ski both Sugarbush and MRG. All three strike me at mountains who place the skier first and care about going the right thing!
Three very different mountains but three good choices.

and sooner too.
on opening weekend there were a few Killington regulars at Mt Snow because Killington didn't open until the following weekend.

I'm planning on hitting the road at 6 AM for Mt. Snow tomorrow, it's going to be a lot of driving for a few hours skiing but I figure I'll end my season where I started it.

Roark you coming going up this weekend?
was there today ;)

Ripcord was delicious. patrol put a rope up after lunch and suddenly everyone was on it.:x Would have been 'preserved' better if they hadn't made it an attractive nuisance.

I'd like to get a day in this weekend, a lot of trails will be closing in the next few days...but I've got to get the study hours in so it's not likely I'll get out.

I'll be up there this Saturday (and then hitting Six Flags on the way home... only in NEW ENGLAND can you do that haha) and then "one more time" next weekend to finish the season off.

It had to be done, I needed one more day. I may have to do it again in November if Belleayre doesn't open early enough.

If I could get someone to drive up with I would go Sunday and maybe stay until Monday. I think Mrs. Slug is done if the season though. I'll give it one more try to convince her though...
