MOUNT SNOW, Vermont — Mount Snow plans to open for its 51st season on Thursday, with top-to-bottom skiing and riding on Thanksgiving Day. Mount Snow's expert snowmaking team is expected to take advantage of forecasted colder temperatures to create the best possible conditions on opening day.

On Friday night The Snow Barn will rock to the sounds of local talents Hammer Down and Voodoo 802 before headliner Entrain takes the stage. Tickets are available online at www.mountsnow.com or at the door.

On Saturday, November 26, Mount Snow will present a Holiday Fireworks and Torchlight Parade. Kicking off at 6 pm, Perfect Turn Pros and Alpine Training Center Coaches will light up the night sky when they descend the mountain with torches. A celebratory fireworks display will immediately follow the parade. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and the SnowMonsters, will all be on hand for photographs and the traditional lighting of the holiday tree. Parking is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

Hours of operation during this season will be from 9 AM to 4 PM weekdays and 8 AM to 4 PM on weekends and holidays. Skiers and riders can call 802-464-2151 or visit www.mountsnow.com for the latest snow conditions and operating information.
