Mountain Creek 1/8/09

Very good conditions especially considering the ice storm earlier in the week. There was a fresh half an inch this morning. I pulled in around 10:30am this morning. There were a decent number of cars in the lot, I was afraid it was going to be a little crowded on the still limited amount of terrain open.

However the slopes were mostly empty. The open air gondola was closed, I'm assuming due to ice. They were running the old VV triple. It turned out to be a really great morning of skiing. The old slow lift kept traffic down, they opened up a run on granite. Run of the day was still lower eagle.

i was having such a good ime one lower eagle the other night. since my vt trip got canceled im going to go up early sat for 2 hours to do some laps then go up to the catskillz later in the day. might try windham

actually the cab kept stopping when i was up the other night so there may something wrong.
