It's not like MRG is a 20 minute drive to a major metro area. Not surprising to me that MRG and even most places would be fairly empty on a mid-week powder day on the east coast. Even, at Alta, on a mid-week powder day, you'll get a liftline for a couple of hours at opening but by lunchtime it would be pretty much ski-on.

I miss that place so much.

Good God, I wish I was there.

My sentiments exactly, I'll be there Friday, I would think it'll be less crowded than Saturday. Hey, maybe there'll still be some fresh to be found with such light traffic. Should be awesome, I was afraid they'd be closed for the season, might well have been if not for this storm.

The worst part is, I'm sitting on 7 weeks vacation time, but there would have been hell to pay if I'd blown off work, extenuating circumstances...damn.

Never understood this myth. I agree with marcski. Been to plenty of powder days at Smuggs and Stowe and M,T,W,TH there's barely a line there too.

There are enough local die hards to create a line. I've seen some (smaller) ones at Sugarbush, but the single chair apparently made them pretty long.
