Resort or Ski Area: Mt. Abram - Locke Mills ME

Conditions: Powder / PP

Trip Report: BRING IT ON! Fantastic day at Mt. Abram. The snow was perfect! It was windy, but with temps in the upper 20's it didn't present much of a problem.

You couldn't go wrong today. Everything was buried. We skied some new trails this time. We bombed down Boris Badenov first run and ripped some major cord. Fearless leader had some great bumps and a great fall line for my abilities. I felt like I could attack the bumps for once... they were so soft. Rocky's Run was buried too. It has a very steep pitch and all kinds of snow. They groomed the middle of Fairy Tales under the chair, but all kinds of soft stuff on the sides. Upper Zephyr is a great glade off Boris. Good tree spacing for the old man while the boyz plowed through everything.

After my thighs were toast we did a bunch of Dudley Do Rights to the jump park - and played around the green's and blues on the skiers left side of the mountain.

When Mt. Abram has the snow - it really rocks. Great terrain that while not the runs are not as long - I think stacks up nicely with Sunday River. I encourage folks to check it out!

Couple of Pics I salvaged before the camera died:

Glad you went. I couldn't agree more. LOVE that little mountain on powder days

One of the most underrated hills in New England. There is indeed some nice steep narrow shots. looks like amazing conditions!

Warren and I tentatively plan to ski Mount Abram for the first time on March 20th as he has the day off for a teacher development day and we are intending on skiing at Sunday River/Sugarloaf for Easter weekend.
