Resort or Ski Area: Mt. Abram

Conditions: PP/LG to Spring - some ice

Trip Report: Very solid spring day at Mt. Abram. We were going to try Wildcat but the wind forecast kept us closer to home... didn't want to risk the pre-buy on liftopia. Maybe next weekend.

Anyway - we had a lot of fun today. Temps were pretty mild - over 40 mid day but cooled off with a brisk wind in the afternoon.

The boyz got the 4th public chair and the first 2 hours were really good on the groomers. Ripping some smooth cord. Fearless Leader and Boris B. were awesome all day. A young lady was doing her senior project by holding a fund raiser race for the Special Olympics. So the salsgang boyz chipped in and raced down the course. Boy #1 beat me bad and Boy #2 is not far behind.

The ungroomed was pretty firm all day and showing some core shots. I tried one trip down rocky's run. Pretty firm and rough. Some folks tried under the chairlift towards the end of the day and it softened some... but not a whole lot.

Regardless, we made the best of it and had a lot of fun. A couple of co-workers showed up after lunch and it was fun to make some turns with some familiar faces.

Sad to see March be so dry so far... maybe the weather gods will cut us a break before the season ends.

Couple of pics of the boyz ripping some early morning cord.

Nice report and pics. I love reading your trip reports.

You go to some of our old haunts, maybe next season we should try getting together for a day trip somewhere. We're really not that far from any of these places.
