Really nice day today!

We hadn't been to the mountain since the ice storm on 12/12...that's how we ended our 5 day vacation up there.

Melissa's knee held up great; that was the big worry for today. She bought a hinged brace and that helped a lot. We're both excited that her knee is OK and she can ski on it. She friggin boogied today; I was impressed. I had brought my twin tips because I has assumed we'd be taking our time. Yeah right!

I thought the conditions today were excellent; packed powder with hardpack...fast snow! Run of the day had to be Thanks Walt in the morning; fast and no one on it! Surprise run of the day was Snowdance after lunch. It was all packed powder with hardly a scratchy spot to to be found.

It was pretty busy today, but nothing too too bad. Longest we waited in line was maybe 10+ minutes? It was kinda nice to stand in the sun while waiting though.

We got up there early and were on the lifts by 8:30. We did a solid 6 hours of skiing today with a bit under and hour for lunch.

Pics!

Gratuitous Jeep shot. Sporting some JK Wrangler wheels (awesome score of E-Bay, OEM take offs) and new Firestone Destination A/T tires. The tires kick arse! Just got em' Friday.

The snow was fast, but you could lay in a good edge. I loved it.

Yeah, that line was big! But we really didn't wait in it too long. As long as the line lifties have a good grasp on things and a loud voice to yell "Froooont Roooooooooow!", things move along nicely.

And thank God her knee is doing well! Woohoo!
