Day 1: Thanksgiving
The mountain was empty! Ski on the lifts every run. The light was a little flat and they were making snow, so some of the terrain was a bit hard to read. But they had a number of top to bottoms open with good coverage. We skied a whole bunch of runs, had a "happy first day" drink at the Cuzzins, then headed over to vcunnings for turkey.

Day 2:
Hopefully vcunning or drjeff will chime in. I eneded up stacking a cord of firewood and putting up some Christmas stuff with my wife. We did see the crew at drjeff's place that night for his b-day. Good times!

Day 3:
A bit cloudy and a bit more crowded. The top of Long John was really scratchy! So was Upper Cascade. I guess they got a little wet precip early Friday and that set up with the cooler temps. Once you got past the icy areas, the trails were good. The only issue were the crowds. It wasn't busy...still pretty much ski on to the lifts, but everyone was going down the same few top to bottom trails.

All in all though, a good day. It's great to be out skiing this early in the season.

They've fired up the fan guns on Snowdance, Ridge and Nitro and they went all day from what I can tell. Hopefully, they'll drop some ropes tomorrow and have a few more runs open. I'll report back.

Day 4: afternoon shift.

Conditions were better today. The mountain received 1.5" last night in a squal that caused a few issues on Rt 100. (Torchlight, fireworks and Santa on a firetruck last night was cool to witness).

Long John was less scratchy, but still crowded @ times. Cascade still had some scratch, but was nice overall. Some decent sections of powder bunps on Canyon. Overall conditions were packed powder and enjoyable. Its cool to have three days in and its not even December yet.

Very jealous! We have a crew coming up this weekend, hopefully they can roll out some more trails in the meantime!

Sorry for the late post, but you were a slacker! You missed first chair, first day despite the invitation.

But I will say, you guys can party pretty late into the night (or morning)! See you this weekend!

I couldn't bring myself to try to wake Mitz up early Thursday. She almost fell asleep making the apple pie Wednesday night.

You guys delivered Thursday AM. That was awesome.
