Date(s) Skied: 1/28/09

Resort or Ski Area: Mt. Sunapee

Conditions: Dumping

Trip Report: Luckily we only wanted to ski bumps because everything else was closed due to wind. New Sanyo camera that saves in some screwed up format. Threw together a crappy video, but at least you can see the bumps were good and there was already plenty of new snow.

Special guest appearance at the end by some dude ripping the bumps on what looked like waterskis ;-). You guys may recognize him.

Still dumping now at 8:55. Get out and get some!

Worst bump ski ever... I'm such a fool for not bringing my other skis. Oh well, the conditions were still awesome. I don't think my legs have ever been that tired after a day of skiing. I guess that is what happens when you try to ski 125mm waisted skis in the bumps. :dunce:

It was sleeting when I left a little before 4pm. Probably 2/3rds snow, 1/3rd sleet.

190 minute wait when I went to bed. What a horrible editing job, plus the camera would not focus with all the snow coming down. I don't know who that dude in the red jacket is.

How do you like the vintage SMS suit? It still smells like mothballs.

awf170 working the powder boards like bump skis !

That's a sick video. I know everyone raves about untracked this and untracked that, but powder bumps are just lots of fun.

Very cool vid, I didn't think it came out bad at all. Good music choice as well. I always thought GnR would make a good ski vid music choice.

Nice video! Lack of focus due to extreme amounts of snow isn't that bad of a thing.. ;)

I never realized the awesomeness of powder bumps until yesterday. For the east coast, this is my order of powder greatness:

1. Untracked in smooth woods
2. Nice big organized bumps (like yesterday)
3. Grassy trail with no base.
4. Bumpy woods
5. Groomed trail
