Will be in Nashua New Hampshire for part of the first full week of April (9-10). Haven't skied NH in over 20 years (have only skied Cannon, Loon, Attitash and Waterville). What are my best options nearby to grab some turns (bumps preferably) in the afternoon? Thanks!

I live in Nashua, not much skiing in the south end.:dunce:

Loon would be my choice time wise. About 1.5 to loon from Nashua. Maybe 15 min shorter to Sunapee. Attitash would take to long.

Cannon is just a few minutes further up the road than Loon. Depends on the snow. It there is natual left cannon would be a good choice, If not Loon makes a ton of snow and is usually in good shape in the spring.

A month from now and in Nashua(basically on I-93 thanks to Rte 3) for an afternoon probably Waterville, Loon or Cannon would be your best bets. If you start talking Attitash or Wildcat then your travel time goes up a bit as you've got to get to the eastern side of NH probably by either taking 28 out of Concord or Manchester to get to the eastern side of Lake Winnipesaukee and then upto N. Conway or your looking at taking the Kancamangus from Loon on over to N. Conway.

Ragged could be an option if they're still spinning the lifts AND mother nature has been cooperative snow wise, but even though Ragged on a map looks like it's not that far off I-93 it actually is a solid 30+ minute ride once you leave the highway

Yikes- thanks. I was ingorant of the lack of skiing down south. May have to reconsider feasibility.

I would think Pat's would be closed but Crotched might have a shot at being open.

Crotched would be a long shot...and the only time I saw Pats Peak extend into April was last year, and that was only the first weekend.

Sunapee's a possibility, but your best bets would be Waterville, Loon, or Cannon.

I skied Sunapee last year around the 20th of April and it had great coverage. Pretty much the entire mountain except for the glades was open.
