I'm working with a printing company on a project, and they have cut-and-paste acknowledgement language in emails, particularly around getting proofs delivered. They say they'll get a proof in 24-48 business hours.

Business days I'm familiar with, but I'm not sure how to translate business hours. Is 24-48 business hours equal to 3-6 days? Do I assume an 8-hour business day? What do I do if they quote delivery in 1-2 business weeks? Is that 7-14 business days, which is 2-3 regular weeks? Or really 5-10 business days/40-80 business hours? The math gets really complicated if any holidays get involved.

I.R. Confused.

If they're in a different timezone...that could really mess things up....

What if they are a skier, and there is a nice storm and they decide to take a half day for some turns? Do they then stick the 4 business hours they were closed on the end?
