The new Skye Peak Express opens at 9 a.m. Friday along with The Stash. Rosey and the boys just finished installing the animation features in The Stash today. The lift was certified yesterday. Snowmaking, combined with the 8 inches of snow we received today, should make for a nice opening. Hope to see a lot of you folks there.

So is the Bear base lodge going to be open, or is it just the SPE & trail expansion?

Cuts a bit off the drive time...

Thanks for the info spin. Gonna hit up that lift tomorrow. Can't wait. Nice to see money that Killington makes actually going back into Killington. Keep up the good work and continue to keep us informed as to what you're doing along the way.

See ya on the quad tomorrow.

LMAO @ that line....and one chair with two people on it and the one behind with three people..... :spin:

You'd be surprised how often that will happen...the lifties will get people in fours and right before the chair loads, someone decides that they don't want to ride up with the people they were grouped with, and they back out to get their own chair. I say riding with others is part of the ski experience...and it is only a few minutes. Suck it up.

Honestly though I don't know how they got a 2 and a 3 there....something is wrong.

My guess: a triple comes up, liftie tells first single to join (or does it on his own) next single goes too (probably first single's buddy), the triple group gets confused, hangs back and the two singles go up together then the triple group goes.

A well run lift line should be a point of pride for a ski area. The guys that do it well, and there are damn few, are loud and theatrical, but do it in a way that still makes them likeable. They are so obvious in their directions that no one would dare contravene their instructions. The entire lift line knows what is expected. It is not a job for the shy or retiring, but rather, someone that aspires to the theater. It provides entertainment, and makes the wait seem shorter. Blame the customers? Don't think so.

yeah, and you meet some very "interesting" people or have very "interesting" conversations along the way.:-o

especially when you ride the lift with me..the one lift line guy is great..if someone is timid about riding with others..he'll say.."come on..it's your time to shine"
