Next Snow is for kids ages 9 to 13 and "focuses on the aspirations that most kids want to be rad, cool, or whatever it takes not to look like a little kid," says Turner in a recent interview in NSAA Journal.
"Snow Monsters and Next Snow programs are a blast of fresh air for the ski industry," says Kris Blomback, general manager at Pats Peak. "It puts kids in the spotlight and changes the face of competition. Making kids happy is our business, and Snow Monsters and Next Snow will give them a huge boost." Mount Sunapee and Okemo Mountain are two local ski areas also involved in the program. For more information, www.patspeak.snowmonsters.com.
