I have Mohawk and Sundown posted in my office. Woodbury's a POS. The trails aren't even labeled.

Edit: Actually, the trails are labeled but the list of trails doesn't have the coinciding labels.

Hey hey, they're too busy working on being the first to open, they don't have time for no stinking labels!

Tough crowd here. Fortunatly one thing Belleayre is very good at is making snow.

As for the trail maps, not everyone can afford trail map artist Jim Niehues to paint their trail map. Besides, you want to ski on the trail map or you want to ski on snow. :snow:

Glad to see the snow is being made. If they open Onteora to the top by Satuday, I will be there skiing.

Regarding the trail map, nobody here is asking for a Picasso. We just want this picture, but with more resolution so that we can actually read it.

I'd say that's not really asking too much.

Yep, I also don't like the map cut in pieces when you're trying to take a closer look. Nothing wrong with the current design.

CT is home of some of the finest trail maps around. Sundown and Mohawk aren't bad:

Actually I think Sundown's is a little too small to easily read all the labels...

I like how Mohawk's makes it look so steep...

Belleayre's map, yes it sucks when they segment the map like that. Killington did the same thing, but they do have other alternatives at least. The quality of the segments seems to be good they just need to offer a version with all the segments together in one big image...

That's better, but still the resolution is a bit low and the map is still split. It shouldn't be that hard to offer a higher res PDF version right from their trail map page....

How about a topic for the most awkward to use printed trail map. My number one choice goes to Whistler/Blackomb, that's not a trail map, that sucker is a paper sail. I defy anyone to open it on a chairlift, it's HUGE.

My friend calls the Killington trail map the Michelin Guide because of it's size.

Bolton Valley's trail map is not the best as it is very hard to read the names of the trails, even when you zoom in with Adobe:

At least the place is easy to get around, no map needed most of the time. One big ridge. What I want from them is more terrain. Would be great if they could buy Highmount. I find the runs kind of boring and only steep at the top. Though when it's covered with huge ice moguls it gets pretty hairy. My favorite run will always be Cathedral, which a lot of people don't even know exists. More of those type of runs would get me there more often. It's pretty bad when I have a house up the mountain from there and drive to Hunter all the time.

Anyone think they can make out how the mountains interconnect?
