I can only wonder how much taxpayer money the State of New York is wasting running day trips to Hunter for $20 more than Emilio's Ski Shop is charging for the same trip!

Ovrride also is doing Saturday day trips to Killington. $109 for roundtrip bus and lift ticket! It also makes for an easy and cheap weekend trip to Killington. You can take their bus up on Saturday, get a hotel for the night up on the access road, ski Sunday and take Amtrak train from Rutland back to New York on Sunday night.

I did a daytrip to K with them last year. Got on the bus 3:30am Saturday morning and got back to the city just before midnight. They had bagels for breakfast and drinks and movies for the ride home. It was late spring and the bus was half full so there was room to spread out. Not sure how I'd feel about a midwinter trip when the bus is full, but it is pretty convenient and its cheaper than a day trip to Sundown for me!
