I'm ready for another Okemo trip real soon -- I won a pair of tickets last Friday on WZLX.

You know, I was listening to 'ZLX and heard them announce your name and I was thinking "I wonder if that's one of the Mark(c)s from AlpineZone.

Congrats.

One word. BLOKEMO Just got back from my frist visit there that lasted greater than an hour. Skied all over the mountain and found nothing.

Sorry to say, absolutely boring. Could not find anything interesting, challenging etc... Yes, real estate is unreal, they do a great job maintainking, grooming, and snowmaking, but I do not see the attraction to the place. Two thumbs down.

Okemo is designed for RICH middle aged families from Conneticut looking for pristine maintained groomers, nothing more.

It does a fabulous job for that crowd, but for someone who's a Jay pass holder, it certainly is going to be boring.

I've got some fond memories of the place skiing there five days a week in high school, but those were due to the company I shared and they had some pretty decent bump runs at the time.

The first day I spent up north though, I never wanted to go back to that kind of skiing. The only reason I'd head back is for nostalgia.

This is too funny. The only friend that I have that that raves about Okemo is from a wealthy, Connecticut family. This mountain is designed to make intermediates feel like big-mountain heros. It would be a good place to go if you're already accomplished at skiing and want to learn snowboarding. It really is too bad that they can't leave more (some) of their of trails ungroomed.

That is absolutely true, one of the guys I was with left his skis at home and brought his snowboard, he knew better.
