Nice work! That's one of the first lost ski areas that I remember reading about several years ago.

Thanks. With more snow in the forcast it's only going to ski better. This place was much more than the local town tow.

So from the vid it looks like the snow was still pretty good there - i.e. no breakable crust on top? I'm heading out to Bigelow right now, if we got going earlier today I would have headed a bit further northwest and checked one of those places out. Here in Tolland the snow is not good right now - a light breakable crust which makes turning very difficult.

No crust at all, okay maybe some in the sunny areas. Needs a little more snow to fill in and really cover things including dead-fall rocks stumps etc. Very little open slopes so you're skiing new growth glades.

Where's WoodCore

Great stuff Skidmarks, thanks for posting!!!

If the snowpack here in CT continues to maintain it's present level or increases be sure to check out Sweatheart Hill in Collinsville! http://www.nelsap.org/ct/canton.html It's on public land and still somewhat skiable.

If we get more snow tonight-Wed it will be perfect! Get it early in the day before the freezing rain.
