One of these just flew over my house

A Chinook. Pretty low too. We're at almost 900 feet in elevation so we get a lot of relatively low flying aircraft coming over.

Cool we were driving down 84 to Southbury about a month ago and saw one of those making a big circle over the highway. They're pretty friggin big.

Today I saw a bunch of young soldiers of some sort marching the streets of Strafford NH (we have a Nat'l Guard facility here). Is it coincidence or is that the military wants to be more visible? Not trying to discuss the morality of any of this, just these are unusual sitings.

We had one fly over last week, with the similar lower height due to living at 815'

Couple weeks ago coming home from Virginia I was cruising down the highway next to a military base. 2 A-10 Warthogs took off and flew right over the truck. It was very cool.

growing up on Eastern LI with Grumman not too far away we were privvy to watching some f-14s fly around with their wings swept back...always a cool sight, its nice to see our tax dollars at work.
