Both mtns are about the same distance from home...which would be better for night turns?
Gunstock is steeper and more sustained vert off the Tiger chair so leaning that way but the top little bit of Pats is a lot of fun as well on FIS and Hurricane.

My main consideration is not bottoming in all this snow out so am wary of the runout at Pats.

bumps on Hurricane are tempting, I bet they'll be awesome.

good point about the runout though.

I'm hoping to hit Gunstock. Will see if I can wrap up work in time.

P.S. in case anyone is curious
I called both places regarding the RSNE card
Pats will accept it for night turns so will be $10 off the $36=$26
Gunstock will not (only primetime tickets) so is normal $28

It says right on the Card - $10 off day tickets, $5 off night skiing, 7 days per week non-holiday for Gunstock.

Maybe whom you spoke with was misinformed? Not that I'm going to cry in my cheerios over $5

Wish I was going to be at Gunstock tonight, maybe I should take a ride up......not sure the wife would allow that.

I could see Red Hat bumping up nice.

You could ride the Tiger chair and lap Redhat and Cannonball all night.

The Gunstock snow report said don't look for any grooming today so that alone would make my decision.

Well Pats was pretty good - got in 4 hrs of good skiing. Hurricane was ok but the other Blacks - Tornado and Cyclone were great. Hurricane glades was a ski wrecker with no base. Ski Vortex lift line which wasn't much better except for the fact that no one else had skied it yet. I would say 16+ inches total.
