Coldest night of the season...temps at the lift were -8 F. Some of our fastest skiing was back to the lodge after we were done. Thanks to roark and KM for getting the table near the stove at the bar.

We only had 4 people last night; roark, Bob R, KM, and YT. skibum9995, ga2ski and djspookman were missed. skibum9995 sent a blank e-mail which we now think means that he can't make it...

The snow was in great shape. This was the first week that the course was set up on Twister. There were a lot more turns required on these courses than on the FIS courses that we've run so far.

Best runs of the night were for roark...first night with 2 Golds? Congrats. KM still beat him on points though with the best female runs overall. Although he won't admit it, Bob R also did quite well especially considering he just came from a day of skiing at Loon. My times were not good, but I still somehow managed to medal on both runs with my older man handicap so at least I was able to contribute more than 1 point to the average. Having to average in a zero hurt, however...we ended up in 9th for the night and we're now down to 7th overall.

There was a change on the prize giveaways last night...a little movie quote competition. No fun bags this week, mostly a bunch of t-shirts and hats. Anyone want a pink Coors Light hat?

Hammer with two Bronze medals. how bout that? Great job my friend. Roark kicked ass plain and simple. Kara, glad we have her.

Me... I was more concerned about keeping warm than skiing fast. I was about the same as every other week. I feel I am skiing well but slow. :) Not as much skidding as in years past, grabbing and egde, just not going fast enough. Feels good under foot, but not in the times.

We did pretty well with just four people. Ben you need some Phone or e-mail lessons.?

It was warmer at Pats than it was at Loon. Heat Wave.

It was a bummer we lost spookman to injury, ga2ski and skibum9995 to work. Thanks to everyone else for coming out

Apparently I like the cold :)

First gold(s) for me - just missed gold the first week. Hopefully I can keep it up.

I thought the course was pretty straightforward, not bad for Twister. Typically it really punishes any skidding since you then don't have any speed on the flats so I just focused on keeping the turns clean. The snow was really nice and with minimal traffic the courses weren't appreciably different second run.

Hammer is really improving each week!
