Pats Peak AZ Race Team 02/21/11 Week 8

Conditions were FAST last night. Slick and fast. Reminded me that I need my edges tuned. Yellow had a couple nice hooks in it at gate 2 and 4. Green was great for my first run, got my best time on that one. Next week is the last week of racing, and it's looking like we won't make finals due to a lot of no-shows and injuries this season. Oh well! I had fun!

Unfortunately, we didn't place so hot due to only Roark, Bob R, and myself racing. All others were out on ski vacations or recovering from injuries.

Looks like djspookman, ga2ski, K, and me qualified for nationals. Bob had to go to Loon to qualify .

Yup, injuries and no-shows killed us. Still great fun and felt like I made some progression this year (well, except last night!).

I now Bob's out next week but hopefully we can still make a good showing. If not on the hill in the pub
