Since no one else has written a TR.. here's mine....

ICE! We need more snow BADLY!! Seems as though most of us mere mortals on the team can't seem to edge on ice, I know, I'm one of them. Course got slick really fast. I liked how they set the gates, but I just couldn't get my skis to grab at all. First run(down green) was ok for me, but second run (down yellow), I was all over the place. First 2 gates I was riding the slough wave around the gates, then the rest I was sliding all over the place. Never missed a gate, but somehow I got DSQ'd. Kinda pissed me off since I did nothing wrong, but it was a crappy time anyway, so oh well!!

The highlight of the night was when Ga2ski spun out on gate 7ish and did the gate switch on his teles. SAWEET!! He then proceded to do everyother gate from then on switch, nicely done! BUT, they gave him a DSQ also, but like me, he didn't miss any gates either... I think there was something wrong with the course marshalls eyes..

Yeah, first really 'firm' night. I stunk it up. Probably should have spent more time warming up but with those conditions I was less than inspired. skibum and seth both had decent runs. Great night for the hardcore racers - not us. Watching Vlad from the chair was impressive.

Even though they didn't hurt us the DSQs were weird. ga2ski spinning 360s through the gates was definitely the highlight of the evening.

One more thing: tcharron beat Scott. :p

Yeah i was DSQ'd too and never missed a gate. I guess doing a triple salchow through the course is an automatic DSQ. Not a big deal as I don't want to see that handicap anyway.

Good Luck next week. Frosted Mugs will be hungry to make the finals and could bump us. let's hope others are taking time off since it is NH school break week. There is a small chance that i will make the race, but very small.

They must qualify anyone who teles...

You should go sometime ga2ski, most of those handicaps above you can't be legit. Then you could get a puffy jacket of your own.

Hope we can pull off next week.

Oh yeah and congrats to Seth, Mr. Bond, Scott, and DJspookman and myself for making nationals. BobR is looking for someone to attend nationals with him. Too rich for me.

QQ

I'm trying to figure out how..

But..

I made nationals in bronze..

Bronze National Male 35-39 56.92 50 53

Wow, there must be a VERY small pool of us bronze suckers..

Looks like you qualified at Crotched. The top 3 in each age/gender/medal division at every resort get invited to nationals. This is my first year not qualifying, just missed out. Oh well, I don't think I could afford to go this year anyway.

Monday night's course was quite slick. The old race pros seemed to be enjoying themselves on the REAL race conditions. Remember not to shadow the course if you do not want to be disqualified. There are eyes everywhere, always watching! Nice acrobats, Eric Hall!! Very entertaining to watch on the teleskis

Definitely out tonight, but I will think of the team while skiing all the powder at Sunday River today and tomorrow. If my math is correct some of ther teams would have to score their highest point total of the season to knock us out of the finals.

Good Luck.

Robbies e-broadcast also said everyone is invited to race in the King of Hill on March 12. Let me know if you are interested even if you don't compete in the weekly race series.

Sorry guys but I can't make it to king of the hill as I would be pulling into the parking lot about 7pm. I may get to crotched this friday for mdvc however.

I think I saw you blow out and miss a gate on charlies chase Saturday. At least the swearing sounded familiar.
