Does anyone else here hate the look of new SkyTrac chairs (carriers)? They’re hideous IMHO. I like the classic Dopp/CTEC chairs.

I believe that I read somewhere that Poma and Dopp have actually patented their chair designs and made it difficult for the (formerly) independent SkyTrac to make carriers.

Well you CERTAINLY can't miss their distinctive appearance! And I am also in the "not a fan" of there look, even though many of my early chairlift rides were on a Riblet center pole double that has some resemblence to Sky Trac's current look

The SkyTrac design is such that they can use the same ”bail” for doubles, triples, and quads. The only thing needing to be swapped out is the seat and restraining bar.

But remember, these carriers won’t be used. The original CTEC quad carriers will be used (possibly with modified restraining bars.
