I went to the sugarloaf website today in the am and there was nothing about this gentleman's death. For a place that got as much free and positive press from his athletic achievement, you would have thought a notice might have been posted. It just struck me as odd, alittle disappointing.

Hard to believe, but Sugarloaf did it all right on this one. Flags were lowered to half mast immediatley, a celebration of his life was planned and pulled off on Sat - all lifts were stopped for a minute from 11am to 11:01 and a parade of skiers came down the trail section of Narrow Guage named after Paul.

They now have a whole page on their site:

And check out the WSKI archive piece (view soon, it rotates) - that was 882 days into his streak - which eventually ended at 3903 days - unbelieveable..

Cal Ripken who?

I would love to find myself in a position some day in life to at least have the option of skiing everyday. Though, I'd probably fail at trying to break the record after a week  I'm junk after one day at Wildcat today

I'm looking at day #95 in a row, what this man has accomplished is absolutely incredible!
