Perseid Meteor Shower (right now)

Just came in from about 30 minutes of laying on my back on my driveway. Caught about 8-10 meteors, one particularly bright and long with a great tail that lasted a bit after the meteor itself burned out. Cool stuff. It's supposed to get better as we approach dawn. I don't plan to wake up at 4 am, but if I happen to be up I might take a peak outside. Mars will rise near dawn too. Look to the East/Northeast.

Meteor Shower

Hey Gregg,

The wife and I are just making plans to get out to look. I don't know if I have my posting time correct, but "real time" for me here at the moment is Sunday 10:26 PM (Mountain Daylight Savings Time). We are told that best viewing will begin at around mid-night in our location.

Yea I kept lookin till around 3:30 but too many clouds.

Actually saw a few in early hours Sunday morning. Still cloudy late Sunday night up here too...
