place to stay for Stratton?

I got one of those lottery free tickets for Stratton so am looking for a place to stay.

My partner isn't much into skiing and will be happy with shopping or other activities. I know there're some outlet stores at Manchester. Any location midway between Manchester and Stratton worth looking into? Or any good place to stay at Manchester that are not too expensive? (a hot tub would be nice but not required)

bromleyn motor inn. on route 30, just past stratton and on the way to manchester. coupl eof other motels on rt 11 on way to manchester.

I stayed here last year when I skied Stratton and loved it. http://www.westmountaininn.com/ It's in Arlington just south of Manchester. Check with Expedia for special rates.

Ended up crashing luxuriously at the Arcady at Sunderland, a few minutes south of Manchester. Easily fulfilled the shopping need. The drive to the mountain wasn't bad either (the mountain was frozen in the morning anyway ).

The place was clean and quiet. Price is right also ($80 including a full breakfast). If they would turn the heat up a little, it could easily become my favorate in the area. (It's not "cold", just more sleep temperature, which isn't the most comforting when sitting around watching TV -- no individually controlled thermostat, unfortunately)
