Spent another day at Platt. Got there early..too early, had to camp out in the lot a little while. I brought my Volkls and the Rossi fat boards. I figured it would be crunchy early and I was right. the Volkls are more suited to the crunchies. Once it warmed up a bit I switched and started bombing down everything. They mowed down pretty much everything except the line right under the double. It was a tough one with huge moguls all the way down...Met up with some of the ski patrol and their families and started hitting the woods and Blockbuster. Also met up with a ski instructor from Hunter..the zen master as Vince calls him...awsome skier, super smooth in the bumps, even on the huge midfat Nordicas he was skiing on. The trips through the woods..where...sketchy for me and some others. its super tight in there and deep if you went off the beaten path...pole length deep!! Blockbuster started to get some bumps going as everything was getting mashed potatoe consistancy. Skied until almost 4 and called it a day.
