Yesterday one of my bands played outside at Hunter for a big freestyle event.. We were playing during a rail jam... They had a big covered stage with pro-sound..
During the set it started to NUKE... We were playing "Tweezer Reprise" by Phish when the wind picked up and the heavens opened... Every time i hit a drum snow would fly up... It just added to the insanity that is the song… We were covered in snow but powered though It probably snowed an inch during the set… An amazing experience to be sure..

Debuted a funk groove this weekend... Called "No Friends On Powderday"...

We played indoors today with a full horn section… It was warmer... :)

I really wish I knew your were playing. I was a few exits away snowshoeing. We would have totally gone up to check your band out.

Thanks...I'll check that out when I go home later.

If you're into funk, you might check out a band I saw a few weeks ago, called The Dap Kings. They back up Sharon Jones, a great funk/soul singer. They also did some backing of Amy Winehouse on her last album.
