If polar bears get listed as endangered, that opens up a whole can of interesting worms, not the least of which will be legal requirements to do something about global warming, or at least greenhouse gas emissions. Whether anything will be done or may be a political discussion, but it'll be interesting to see what happens- is this a policy shift, an appeassement, or the start of unintended consequences?
