Wow, what a day. Conditions started with a couple of inches of wet snow when we left around 10am, by 2pm there were 12-16 inches of fluffy snow. The day started on the sticky side but then got colder and the snow got fluffier. It was dumping all day and still is coming down as hard as ever. 3-4 inches per hour snowfall droped a foot in 3 hours. The riding got better and better and kept on getting deeper and deeper. This was one of those days that you wished they kept spinning the lifts for another hour or two, it was that good. Not too many people on the mountain but decent turn out. Just to give you an idea, around noon we decided to hit throbulator on the east side of the mountain. As we enter we noticed we were first tracks! I could not believe it, but that is Burke for you on a powder day. Fresh tracks on every turn and all day long. Its still snowing very hard, and at least one more inch on the ground since our last chair run. Tomorrow pond skimming should be interesting...
