Powder Ridge...

Greg, I saw that article in the paper the other day. I don't know what to think anymore. It seems like everytime I get my hopes up for a reopening of powder ridge, it falls through. I know its not the greatest place to ski on earth, but when you live 10 minutes from it, it is great fun on a week night. Hopefully something positive will happen there this year!

Agreed, Joe. Feeder hills should always be supported. Oh, and it's obviously a further drive, but you should join us up at Sundown on Wednesday nights...

Sundown...

Sounds like fun. I'll def try to make it up on wednesdays. Although I may be awkward/sucky, as it will be my first year on tele gear. :-D

No worries. Some of us normally stick to the bumps; while others ski other runs. The place is small enough that we can easily meet up for lift rides. Keep an eye on the T&E forum.

I don't know what makes Leavitt think that he'll be able to turn it into such a great place, AFAIK he hasn't exactly done a stellar job running it up until now...

Somehow I don't trust him and doubt he has the best intentions for the ski area...

Latest I've heard is Leavitt is out as well as his "pie in the sky" ideas. The town will probably take it over but it is probably too late for this ski season.

The rumor that I heard was that Leavitt was caught selling off equipment and pocketing the money instead of paying off his debts, or the courts, or whatever he should have been doing with the money. I think there's a good chance that Switzgable will end up running it in partnership with the town. It is too late for this season though...
