Prologo Scratch Nack Saddle
If mileage is your motto and your sit bones crave comfort, the Prologo Scratch Nack saddle is the perfect blend of durability and support. While Prologo makes lighter weight race-level saddles as well as more densely padded models, the Scratch Nack is the best of both worlds.
To begin with, the shell of the Scratch was molded with multiple densities of carbon. The wider portion of the shell features a denser carbon to support sit bones. Flex and 'bouncing' are minimized, which aids in more efficient power transfer to the pedals. At the same time, the midsection shell was designed to 'give' very lightly beneath your weight, reducing pressure on the sensitive perineal region. Lightweight foam was layered over the carbon shell, providing a soft surface on an otherwise stiff platform. This combination of materials is perfect for long miles on the bike.
Although the shell is designed to flex, the rails are not. Here, Prologo used its Nack composite. Nack is an acronym for Nano Aluminum Carbon Kevlar and utilizes tiny aluminum particles within the weave to strengthen the clamp points, which produces a lightweight and very durable rail designed to remain stiff season after season.
The round-dome design of the Scratch Nack is one of three profiles offered by Prologo. Unlike its semi-round and flat saddles, Prologo's round dome allows for full contact and even weight distribution across the entire pelvic area, minimizing pressure spots. The saddle was finished with a Lorica cover, which is stronger than classic leather and provides enough grip to keep you firmly in one spot mile after mile.
The Prologo Scratch Nack Saddle is 134mm wide and is available in Full Black and Full White color schemes.
Price: $249.99 (35% Off!)
Regularly: $390.00
