Weather -- Clear partly cloudy and (very) windy. Temps in the high teens.

Conditions -- Hardpack with a inch of loose here in there

Crowds -- Non- existant

14 named trails were open. Basically two ways from summit to base (Chute and Ridge) Crew cut and Headwall helped to mix it up enoughto keep it from getting stale.

Had a good day with college age son home on break. Did a bunch of laps and had some laughs.

Screwed up and missed the Monday promo though. Print a coupon off of their site and pay Pat's oppents score ($10!) Though it was an OK value at $39 for my son (I have a pass) but $10 would have been sweet. FYI this deal is Blacked out on holidays.

Website says they're blowing over on Turnpike/Cardigan on Spear. No mention of Exhibition though. One would think they'd want that open by Saturday.

Any reports from the ground as to where they were blowing and if they had other guns set up and ready to go on other trails?

They were blowing on Cardigan's and Turnpike. The guns were set up on Exhibition. I didn't get a chance to quiz any one on their next steps.

I agree that they're planning on Exhibition for the upcoming weekend. Don't really understand the effort on Cardigan though. Can't imagine they're going to turn the triple on just to service the one run.

From what I was told from a race coach, they're planning on getting Cardigan then Yankee on the Spear side. I would think that by having Cardigan, they'd have a trail for instructing on over the Xmas holiday that isn't as mobbed as the man face will be with limited terrain.
