Conditions: Firm to boilerplate but no glare ice. Hard Courdory furrows pretty much everywhere but edgeable. Perfect blue skies, 25 degrees with a stiff wind most of the day.

Trip Report: Now that the Spear Mountain Triple is running they have a little more variety. Good runs from top to bottom upper and lower chute were the pick of the day flying yankee was fun also. A couple runs that had obviously been groomed for the first time had some potholes. Virtually no one there all day.

A good time ripping fast GS turns on the hardpack.

certain doom lurked in the trees

It was packed alright! They really ought to update that conditions page more often.

Way too crusty off piste on thursday for glade skiing, But from what the one or two locals I shared the six pack with (I had it too myself most of the time) indicated the glades were terriffic earlier in the week before the r@!n. (story of my life, sigh)

Hope they get some fresh before your visit!

If the snow hung around for a while and the damn rain stopped I'd take a trip up there as I've always wanted to. Trails there look nice and some decent trees in the middle. Glad to hear they're having a decent year though.
