Wow my moms favorite catcher from the mets passed away today from cancer and he was only 57. Condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad, but glad he's no longer suffering. His condition diminished rapidly over the past couple of months.

.....maybe the only member of the 86 Mets that I was a fan of.

Very sad, can remember watching him on MLB highlites knocking in runs, yes...as an Expo SM...in his first season.... Sure makes you aware of time....and not take the daily stuff so seriously.

RIP Kid. He was very good offensively as many people know but his defense was underrated by many. More importantly he was a very good man off the field and a true role model that kids could look up to. Baseball and the world lsot a good one yesterday.
