So last Sunday we were hiking up the Cannon Mountain via the Kinsman Trail from the tram parking lot. We are way behind this year as this hike is normally done once a week starting in June..... this is our first of the year! Just been busy with other things. It was a fun hike, weather wasn't bad, nice and hot, not crowded at all. Everything changed when we were on the final ascent.

With maybe 1/8 mile to go, we heard some noise in the brush, then another noise except it had more of an impact sound. Looking up I see two rocks in the air coming down. The rocks missed us (within 100'), and we yelled up to them, one of the 'kids' looked over the ridge and quickly pulled back when she realized I could see her. Needless to say we were really on a mission to get to the top and have a talk with these 'kids'. I say 'kids' because when we got to the place where the children were tossing projectiles and older gentleman was there and told me, 'They're just kids, they were just throwing rocks.' I was confused by this statement, and later learned that this man was their grandfather!! When we did reach the kids, they were mid teens, not kids!

Has anyone else had an enjoyable hike only to be interrupted by by idiots?
