Date(s) Skied: February 12, 2011
Resort or Ski Area: Saddleback
Conditions: Powder to PP everywhere
Trip Report: What a run Northern New England is on. Saddleback continues to shine. A bit brisk today - moderate wind up high but not too bad. Temps in teens to twenties. Nice crowd but again manageable. Pretty much ski-on all day... with a bit of wait mid-day at the Rangeley. The skiing is really outstanding. Everyone needs to take advantage of it!
The only tough spots are again the headwalls of Warden's Worry, Frost Bite and Beauty. They need a heavy snow to fill those in. However, the cut-over from Tight Line works very nicely. Have to say Black Beauty skied very well... along with Parmacheenee Bell. All the groomers were great.. with supervisor and blue devil getting a bit scraped up by the end of the day. Trees were spot-on... deep coverage with Nightmare glade being my favorite.
The pics:
Boy #2 ripping up Royal Coachman
Boy #1 dropping into Golden Smelt
Upper Jane Craig was stellar!
The Boyz found some extremely fresh tracks in an undisclosed location. Nothing like first tracks 5 days after a storm. Nice find boyz...
Wife on a white Gray Ghost canvas...
Old Man heading down Black Beauty...
Last run of the day down lower Jane Craig.
